Description

  • height 33 1/2 in.; width 41 1/2 in.; depth 19 in.
  • 85 cm; 105.5 cm; 48 cm
the rectangular brèche d'Alep marble top above a frieze drawer inlaid with Vitruvian scrolls and three long drawers inlaid to simulate short drawers, the front and sides inlaid with quatrefoil on grounds of sycamore within amaranth borders, on short cabriole legs.

Condition

In overall sound condition. The color sligthly brighter and more attractive than in the catalogue illustration. Restorations to the marble. With minor marks and surface abrasions consistent with age and use. Minor losses of veneer and lifting consistent with age, however most are stable. Wear and poor restoration tot he front of the commode, as visible from the catalogue illustration. Vertical hairline age cracks to the sides. In otherwise good condition.
