Description

  • diameter 10 1/8 in.
  • 25.8 cm
each colorfully painted with sprays and sprigs of flowers, the rim lightly molded with three sprigs of currants within foliate scrolls picked out in blue on the gilt edges, interlaced L's, all but three with date letter H for 1760, painters' marks in blue enamel, incised marks. Minor chips.

Condition

All of the plates have some minor scratching to the glaze and enamels in the center, consistent with use. Ten plates are in otherwise generally good condition. One plate has some minor wear to its gilt rim. Another plate has a minor 1/8 inch flat chip to the upper rim edge, and some minor wear to its gilding. Three plates each have a 1/4-1/2 inch flat chip to the upper rim edge. One plate has a 1/4 inch and 1/8 inch flat chip to the upper rim edge. One plate has a less than 1/8 inch firing tear to the rim edge.
