Description

  • height 14 1/2 in.; width 12 1/2 in.
  • 37 cm; 32 cm
the white enamelled dial signed Lepine, Horloger du Roi, with Roman chapters within a white marble case flanked by the figures of Venus and Cupid with clouds and doves, mounted with roses and the attributes of love; on a shaped marble base fitted with floral garlands above toupie feet.

Condition

The ormolu in overall very good condition. The figure of cupid is slightly loose. In otherwise good condition. Minor marks and surface abrasions to the marble surface.
