  • 58cm. 22¾in. high
6½-inch engraved brass dial signed J.Penlington & Co. Liverpool with subsidiary dials in the arch for regulation, chime/silent and chime selection, three train fusee movement  with anchor escapement, chiming the quarters on eight bells and striking the hours on a gong, the case with arched top, pineapple finials and flanked by outset Corinthian brass pillars, the sides with brass frets, the front profusely inlaid with brass scrolls and flower heads

Condition

Dial needs to be silvered, movement will run but is in need of a clean and overhaul, pendulum locking nut lacking, case would benefit from restoration as the inaly is now tarnished and it would look most impressive clean, minor chips, scuffs and cracks throughout, one small piece of moulding detached from top left finial stand but we have the piece,suspension complete but detached from the pendulum for transport; with two case keys, pendulum and non-fitting winder
