A chiming and musical table clock movement, Claudius Du Chesne, London

8-inch dial with winged cherub spandrels, matted centre with false pendulum aperture, three train fusee movement with six knopped and ringed pillars, verge escapement, chiming three quarters and playing a psalm for the fourth quarter on a nest of ten bells, rack and bell striking for the hours, the backplate engraved with tulips and foliate scrolls, signed within a cartouche Claudius Du Chesne, Londini Fecit, the later associated case with shallow domed top and gilt-brass carrying handle above a moulded cornice and foliate pierced side frets

Later associated dial is dirty, disc locks and chapter ring replaced, false pendulum aperture has been enlarged from a calendar aperture, and there are a number of small unexplained holes. Movement is very dirty and is in need of complete service and overhaul but appears to have original wheel work throughout, later bracket to the pinned barrel. Case is associated and probably a later copy, left side glass cracked but otherwise in good condition. With 3 case keys and 3 winders.
