A good and large engraved gilt-brass carriage clock, John Webber, Woolwich

3¾-inch gilt dial with finely engraved foliate scrolls to the corners and centre, signed Webber, Woolwich, two train fusee and chain movement with five vase-turned pillars, ratchet tooth lever platform escapement with plain gold balance, maintaining power, striking on a coiled gong, hand set knob and strike/not strike lever mounted on the backplate, signed as the dial, the rectangular case with bevel-glazed panels and pierced rear door, engraved over all with foliate scrolls

Dial in good condition with a few minor old scratches. Movement is complete but very dirty and not running, requires full service and overhaul. Case in good original condition though rather dirty. With a winder and case key.
