  • Plaque only 33cm high, 22cm wide; 1ft 1in., 8½in., including frame 44 cm high, 35cm wide; 1ft. 5¼in., 1ft. 1¾in.,
of rectangular form, depicting a priest offering snuff to a man in a top hat with a cane and a paper in his left hand `La Patrie' and a book under his arm, within a landscape, within a painted faux marbre blue frame; on a black slate ground; restored  

Condition

Old marks and chips to the frame as visible from the photograph. Left bottom corner slate backing restored -only visible when viewed from the back. Other old minor restorations to top left corner above priest's hat as visible from the photograph. Charming detail and subject matter. In good restored condition.
