A pair of French gilt-bronze and marble sculptural figures late 19th Century

each in the form of a standing neo-classical female figure in drapery holding aloft a flaming torch, the marble socle surmouted by a band of beading and acanthus

Some very minor tarnishing to gilt-bronze and rubbing as visible from photograph. There are unexplained drill holes in the figures and the marble socles and there is a band of filled small holes at the top of the socle where there was possibly previous mounts. The flaming torches on both are loose and need securing. One of them has an additional screw, which should be removed so the torch is flush to the figure's hand. The figures also need securing to the socles as they are slightly loose, which can easily be done. There are some old minor restorations to the marble socle of one, but these have been well executed. An attractive model in overall good condition.
