Description

  • each 20cm. high; 8in.
in Louis XVI style, each in the form of a child satyr supporting in each arm a leaf cast candlebranch, on a circular base cast with Trophies of Love: formerly fitted as lamps and drilled for electricity

Condition

Some minor tarnishing to gilt-bronze and casting flaws. There is an old minor restoration to the gilt-bronze base of both where previously drilled for electricity, which has been very well executed. Some rubbing to the satyrs and one is more rubbed than the other. The drip-pans were also previously drilled for electricity, but holes have not been filled. One candlearm has been resoldered. Would benefit from a light clean according to taste. In overall good condition.
