- 18.5cm., 7¼in. length
the cover surmounted by a model of Empress Catherine II of Russia's favourite dog, its gilt metal mounted head detachable at the blue collar, lying on a rectangular cushion painted with flowers and edged in gilt moulded brocade with corner tassels (some restoration)
Condition
Restoration to both ears of hound. There is a very well restored break to the cover, starting at one side, running around the hind quarters of the hound and extending to the opposite edge. There is minor restoration to the tip of the tail. There is a small area of very good restoration to one corner of the base.
