A fine gilt and patinated bronze grande sonnerie 'Europa' mantel clock, Swiss

5½-inch restored enamel dial with strike/silent lever by VIII, the three train movement signed Les Freres Wiss A Geneve, tic tac escapement and silk suspension, the cadrature mounted on the backplate and striking the full four quarter grande sonnerie on two bells, the richly gilded case signed L E DUC, representing the rape of Europa with clock mounted on the back of a bull with two female attendants and Cupid, with garlands of flowers and raised on a pierced rococo base

Dial in good restored condition. Movement in original condition and appears to run but may benefit from a clean. The case with original gilding and patination. With pendulum, winder and regulation key.
