Colours slightly lighter overall and much more attractive than in the catalogue illustration. Each candlestick is in three sections, the hat, figure and cushion. The gilt-bronze is slightly dirty and rubbed and would benefit from a light clean according to taste.The tasselled cushions are a later addition. The twisted band on the hat of one is missing a small section, but this does not detract from the piece. The hand of one of the figures has been refixed with green filler. Some minor chips to the cushion of one. On one figure, his hands are affixed with white filler, which is visible and there are minor chips around the hole underneath the figure and there is evidence that he previously had earrings.
