An Italian white marble mask, Ligurian late 16th century

in the form of a satyr, formerly part of a wall fountain

Old very minor marks and chips with a chip to the nose as visible from photograph and to the tops of the ears, with some pinkish colouration and minor surface dirt, as visible from photograph. There is an iron handle on the back and a small apperture at the base where it must have been previously fixed. There is an old minor restored crack running from the bottom up to underneath the chin, but this is well executed and hardly noticeable. In otherwise good condition.
