Overall good condition; lifting and chips to veneers of back seat rails, one chair with later facing and veneer to top edge of the front seat rail; later small blocks to the inside edge of the back legs at joins with seat rails; the other chair with losses to caning; overall each with small chips, loses and patches to veneers and with old worm to rails and drop-in seats; overall with old marks, scratches, and bruises consistent with age and use; the gilt metal mounts slightly tarnished and with minor wear; rubbing and wear to handholds and with nice worn patina.
