Description

  • 73.5cm. high, 122cm. wide, 91.5cm. deep; 2ft. 5in., 4ft., 3ft.
the rounded rectangular moulded top with twin inset tooled replaced leather writing surfaces within a border of scrolling foliage, the anthemion and foliate inlaid frieze with two pairs of opposing drawers centred by the initials `L.J' within a cartouche, the ends further inlaid with the same cartouche framed initials, the scrolling solid end supports conformingly  inlaid and joined by an arched scrolling stretcher flanked by gadrooned mouldings, on moulded downswept bases ending in scroll  terminals with elaborate foliate and paterae cast gilt brass feet

Condition

Good overall country house condition. Leather writing surfaces replaced. Both corners to one long side with repaired cracks. Some discolouration and oxidisation to brass.
