Description

  • 158cm. high, 198cm. wide, 21cm. deep; 5ft. 2¼ in., 6ft. 6in., 8¼ in.; the aperture 109cm. high, 115cm. wide; 3ft. 7in., 3ft. 9¼ in.
the plain moulded shelf above a frieze tablet depicting a figure of the young Bacchus raising a goblet beside a goat flanked by a pair of subsidiary tablets of cupids, the aperture flanked by a pair of engaged fluted columns with ionic capitals carved with egg and dart mouldings and stiff leaves

Condition

Good overall restored condition. Characteristic minor replacements to losses on shelf and to conforming mouldings beneath tablet. Characteristic chips to back edge of shelf and back edges of sides.
