- 74.5cm. high, 57.5cm. wide, 45cm.; 2ft. 5¼in., 1ft. 10½in., 1ft. 5¾in.
the rectangular hinged adjustable top with a ratchet, with two candleslides and a drawer fitted for writing implements, on reeded end supports and scroll-carved reeded sabre legs and castors
Condition
Good general condition. The top is rather faded, cracked and is also slightly warped. There are also some minor losses and restorations to the edge. Minor old marks and scratches throughout consistent with age and use. One foot is cracked. The reading rest is missing.

The end supports to the present reading table relate to those on a sofa table supplied by Gillows to John Lloyd Wynne (d.1862) for Coed Coch, Denbighshire, sold Christie`s, London, 18th April 1996, lot 226 and also a reading table sold Sotheby`s London, Important English Furniture, 9th July 1999, lot 122.
