A William and Mary walnut and field maple seaweed marquetry chest of drawers late 17th century

the moulded top  inlaid with an oval seaweed marquetry panel within a stained field maple border and four marquetry spandrels, with two short and three long graduated drawers with conforming inlay, on later bun feet 

This piece is generally in good condition. The top is slightly warped. Both back corners have been restored and there are some minor patches to top crossbanding. Some of the mouldings around the bottom edge have been replaced on the rear left hand side. There is a small section of veneer missing from the front edge beneath the middle of the bottom drawer. The handles and escutcheons have been replaced. The mouldings around the drawers have been restored. There are small filled patches on the drawer fronts where previous handles have been sited, in several places. There are other minor patches to drawer fronts. The feet are later.
