- 147cm. high, 89cm. wide; 4ft. 10in., 2ft. 11in.
the later rectangular plate surmounted by a scroll-carved pediment with scrolls and trailing foliage to the sides, the foliate scroll apron centred by a mask head, with later oil overgilding onto the original water gilded finish
Condition
In country house condition. Cresting cracked and broken with some loss to carved detail, particularly on top left hand side. Trailing foliage cracked and with some losses to the left hand side. Minor chips and losses to gilding throughout consistent with age. Later backboard.
