  • 72.5cm. high, 71cm. wide, 51cm. deep; 2ft. 4½in., 2ft. 4in., 1ft. 8in.

Condition

This piece is generally in good condition. It has been re-finished. There are some old marks and scratches. There have been some minor repairs to mouldings and there are thin age cracks at the top of two legs. Catalogue Note

A design for this type of table appears in the Gillows Estimate Sketch Books, dated 1810, and described by them as a `chamber writing-table', ( No.344/144, p.11, Westminster City Archives).

A similar example was sold Sotheby`s Important English Furniture, 23rd November 2005, lot 86.
