Description
- 134cm. high, 95cm. wide, 42cm. deep; 4ft. 4¾ in. 3ft. 1½ in.. 1ft. 4¼ in.
the arrangement of eleven drawers and four cupboard doors inlaid with cityscapes including birds in the foreground, the interior inlaid with panels of Hungarian ash and stained oak outlined with bandings, the sides with iron carrying handles outlined with feint foliate borders, on a modern mahogany stand with square legs, the cabinet formerly enclosed by doors
Condition
Restoration patches to the top including one on the front edge. Some cracks also to the top which is slightly warped. Decoration to the sides possibly formed by hot sand or pokerwork and is now quite feint. Some shrinkage along the lines of construction on the left hand side. The front edge of both sides plugged and grooved where original hinges were sited for cupboard doors. Minor general old marks and scratches.
