Description
- each: 127cm. high, 80cm. wide; 4ft. 2in., 2ft. 7½in.
each with a pierced rocaille and scroll cresting, above a shaped mirror plate further flanked by pierced scrolled sides and apron
Condition
Generally good condition. Colour of the gilding slightly lighter and more attractive than in the catalogue illustration. There is some surface dirt, some old cracks which are commensurate with age and can be left or filled. There are also some small chips and losses to the silvering on the mirror plates. There are some old repaired breaks with later re-enforcements to the backs of the mirrors. There is evidence that the mirrors were previously fitted with girandole arms.
