Condition

Colour slightly darker overall and the piece is much more attractive than in the catalogue photograph. Old minor chips, cracks and scratches commensurate with age and some retouching to decoration. The decoration is distressed in places with some minor losses especially to the top and water stains as visible from photograph. The iron nails are visible in the top where there has been shrinkage. Vertical construction cracks generally as visible from photograph, normal due to age and shrinkage, which can be left or filled. The handles appear to be original and the original light blue colour is visible beneath, which has now turned green due to oxidization. Attractive detail to painting which has some shading to give a three dimensional effect. Unusual shaped piece and in overall good original condition.
