Description

  • 97cm. high, 63cm. wide; 3ft.3in., 2ft.¾in.
with a rectangular bevelled plate within a cushion moulded frame surmounted by a pierced cresting, above a shaped apron, the whole carved with flowers and leaves and rocaille and painted with reserves of floral sprays

Condition

Gilding less greenish and more golden and attractive than in the catalogue photograph. Some very minor chips to the lacquer, gilding and carved sections, which are hardly noticeable. Old minor restoration to scrolls on left side, both of which have been strengthened at the back. The other projecting carved sections have been strengthened as has the cresting which shows evidence of previous breaks. Some minor retouching to gilding and very minor sections re-carved. Very attractive detail to painting of flowers. In overall good conserved condition.
