Condition

Colours overall less greenish more golden and much more attractive than in the catalogue photograph. Some old very minor restorations to the lacquer which are hardly noticeable. The lacquer though on the right side especially along the border and sides of the panel have been restored and has brown coloured infill. There has also been some touching up to the paint and to the ebonising on the base. There are also a couple of medium sized areas of brown coloured restoration to the back left panel. There are also some minor restorations to the mother-of-pearl inlay which have been well executed. The corners internally have been reblocked. Very attractive detail to the decoration. Good large size a fine example of this type of casket. In overall very good conserved condition.
