A gilt-bronze mantel clock by Thomire first quarter 19th century

depicting a female with a lyre seated upon a chariot drawn by two rearing horses, the white enamel dial in the form of a wheel on a rectangular base mounted with a charioteer and neo-classical figures the sides mounted with the Trophies of Love, on toupie feet 

Enamel chapter ring in good condition, movement appears to be complete but much in need of a clean. Case retains much of the original gilding although the horizontal surface of the plinth is rather rubbed. With pendulum, winder, regulation key, (bell and case back detached).
