Description

  • 164cm. high, 116cm. wide; 5ft. 4½in., 3ft.n 9½in.
the leaf carved cresting above a foliate and egg-and-dart moulding and a rectangular plate within a moulded frame with curved projecting corners, with roundels enclosing paterae suspending laurel swags the apron with a foliate spray; regilt; the reverse with the inscription `Li Parrni Del Quartiere Martignone di Sotto AD 1824'

Condition

The gilding is more golden, less greenish, and much more attractive than in the catalogue illustration. Very attractive design. The mirrored panel in the centre above the mirror plate has a break, not shown in the photo and which will need restoring. An unusual model in overall good conserved condition. Highly recommended.
