with a veined mottled peach marble top with canted corners, above two long drawers centred by an oval medallion with a ribbon-tied bouquet within a gilt-bronze border, with quarter-veneered sides, on square tapering legs headed by guttae, terminating in gilt-bronze block feet
Condition
Colour less orange overall with more contrast and more attractive than in the photograph. Some very minor chips to the marble top and pitting, especially along the rear edge and there are restored breaks, which have been well executed and are not too noticeable, due to the mottling of the marble. Some old minor restorations to the veneer and very minor patches. The gilt-bronze mounts are slightly dirty and would benefit from a light clean according to taste. There is some very slight lifting of the veneer in parts. In overall good conserved condition.
