An Italian mahogany revolving drum-shaped table second quarter 19th century

with a guilloche cast gilt-bronze gallery and inset veined white marble top, above an acanthus leaf carved frieze and cupboard door enclosing a shelf, the drum section with projecting ribs, the underside with boldly carved acanthus leaves above a ribbed stem in the form of a column on three ribbed inward curved legs terminating in gilt-bronze toupie feet and brass castors

The gilt-bronze gallery is possibly associated. There are old restorations generally to the veneer. There is a hairline vertical crack. There are several hairline vertical cracks down the body of the drum section, but this does not detract from the piece. There have been old minor restorations generally to the carved section on one of the feet. In otherwise good conserved condition.
