of elongated cartouche shaped form with a divided plate, the lower section carved with the trophies of Love, the frame carved with rocaille, flowers, foliage and scrolls

Condition

Colour of gilding less green and more golden and attractive than in the catalogue photograph. There is a cream coloured piece running along the length of the base which has been cut from the photograph. Some very minor chips to carved sections, but these are hardly noticeable and can easily be touched up with gilding. Attractive detail to carving. The plate looks later. In overall good condition.
