- 108cm. wide; 3ft. 6½in.
with a double arched upright rectangular open back with a baluster splat inlaid with a vase issuing a bird seated on floral branches, above downscrolled arms, drop-in serpentine padded seat on cabriole legs terminating in claw-feet, the whole inlaid with floral trails, stylised scallopshells, anthemions and foliage
Condition
Colour less orange slightly darker with more contrast and more attractive than in the catalogue photograph. Joints sound and sturdy. Some minor restorations to the veneer, and to some construction cracks at the joints which have been very well-executed. Old repair to the base of the baluster splat on the right side. There is a hairline construction crack on the right rail, which can easily be filled or left. In overall good conserved condition.
