  • 52cm. high x 56cm. 1ft.8in., 1ft.9½in.
each with a serpentine padded top above a pierced frieze carved with rocaille, on cabriole legs terminating in rocaille carved feet; regilt

Condition

Colour overall slightly darker and more attractive than catalogue illustration. Some very minor chips generally to the gilding and silvering. The front of one of the feet is missing but this is not too noticeable. On the same footstool the pierced rocaille decoration on the frieze is a later replacement, but this is only visible when viewed from underneath. Some other old very minor restorations generally. Joints sound and sturdy. The gilding on one is slightly darker. The front of one foot of the more restored stool is chipped off. In overall good conserved condition.
