Condition
STRUCTURE
The canvas has been lined.
PAINT SURFACE
The picture appears in generally good condition with characteristic cracquelure in the sky. There is a very minor indentation to the tower of the castle.
ULTRAVIOLET
Ultraviolet light reveals minor scattered re-touching concentrated on the right of the canvas and infilling to the cracquelure. There has been minor restoration in three areas, lower left, upper left and centre right.
FRAME
Held in a carved gilt wood frame.
