- approximately 14ft. 10in. by 3ft. 5in. (4.52 by 1.04m.) and 17ft. by 3ft. 2in. (5.18 by 0.97m.) (2)
together with a Bakshaish runner
Condition
Karabagh runner: Pile is generally closely sheared 1/8 of an inch with dark browns oxidized to knotheads and very minor scattered foldwear also low to knotheads. Repiling and minor tinting in oxidized brown border. Sides later overcast and secured. Dusty, will enhance with cleaning. Original lower end finishes intact, upper end with minor losses to outer guard stripe, and now secured with a binding stitch. Supple handle, good overall condition.
Bakshaish: Pile is generally low to knotheads with border slightly better, near original 1/8 of an inch. Yellow stain at one end of carpet. Dark brown of field and dark brown outlines oxidized to knotheads in spot foundation with scattered repiling. Missing end guard border, lower end, now secured with binding stitch. One approximately 3 inch by 1 inch reweave in lower left corner. Upper end just missing outer guard stripe now secured with binding stitch. Both sides reselvaged. Sound fabric and condition.
