comprising: Coffee Pot, Creamer, Sugar Bowl and Tray, each of spiral paneled baluster form on a waved circular foot, chased overall with eggplants and veined leaves, the conforming rectangular tray with large leaves at corners and border chased with eggplants, marked on bases and stamped T. KIRKPATRICK, coffee pot coded 8700, creamer 8702, sugar bowl 8701, tray 8703

creamer and sugar bowl each with ding to side near base but not through, tray witha few dings to center, engraving possibly removed, overall good condition

According to Gorham's archives Black Coffee Set 8700-8703 was completed on 21-22 June 1899. The set was raised in 103 hours and required an additional 148 hours of chasing. The specific names of the maker and chaser are not recorded. The net factory cost of this set at the time of completion was $380.
