each piece printed in blue and heightened in gilding with peony, chrysanthemum and prunus issuing from pierced rockwork within a whorl ground and floral shaped border on the rim, comprising: a circular tureen, cover and stand, three circular vegetable tureens and four covers, a 20½-inch canted rectangular well-and-tree platter, a 20½-inch platter, an 18¾-inch platter, a 16½-inch platter, two 14¼-inch platters, two 12¼-inch platters, two 10¼-inch platters, two 9¼-inch platters, thirty-four dinner plates, seventeen soup plates, sixteen dessert plates and a sauce tureen cover, impressed SPODES NEW STONE, green printed double C's COPELAND marks and pattern number 3702 painted in iron-red. Minor chip, haircracks and restoration. 90 pieces.

Condition

One of the covers of the vegetable dishes has a ¾-inch fine haircrack running from the rim into the dome. Another cover has two parallel 1-inch haircracks beneath the handle. The 16½-inch platter has a ¾-inch haircrack on the center of the dish. One 9¼-inch platter has a 3-inch haircrack running from the rim into the cavetto. Two dinner plates have a tiny chip on the rim. One dinner plate has two restored 4-inch hair cracks. Another dinner plate has a 1½-inch by ¼-inch restored chip on the rim. Another dinner plate has some very minor small chips on the rim. One dessert plate has a ¼-inch restored circular shallow chip on the rim. Another dessert plate has a 1¼-inch by ½-inch restored chip on the rim. Another dessert plate has a ¼-inch restored shallow chip on the rim. Another dessert plate has three very tiny chip on the rim. Generally there is some very minor flaking and wear to the enamels on the edges of the rims. Overall the service is in good condition.
