Appears to retain its original surface on base

Condition

A few patches to pie-crust edge, one is 2 ¼ in length, another is 4 ¼ inches in length; the upper block of birdcage has a 9 3/8 by 1/16 by 3/8 of an inch patch; later brass catch added to birdcage; spring latch appears to be original; wear to knuckles on feet; retains its original lock ring and key.
