13 inch by 2 inch triangular flat wooden brace added to underside of top to stabilize crack; 7 by 2 ½ inch board attached to underside of top to stabilize crack; several knee returns possibly restored; ¾ by ¼ patch to tip of one toe

Related tables include an example with a history of descent from Thomas Robinson (1730-1817) of Newport and an original finish that sold at Christie's, January 20-1 2005, sale 1474, lot 550.  Other examples include the example currently in the collection of the Newport Historical Society illustrated in Michael Moses, Master Craftsmen of Newport: The Townsends and Goddards, 1984, p. 73, figs. 2.2-2.2a, and another one in the collection of Mrs. Katherine Prentis Murphy, The Arts and Crafts of Newport, Rhode Island, 1640-1820,  no. 74, p. 102.
