  • length 11 in.
  • 27.9 cm
of rectangular form with scalloped bonnet, the body decorated with human masks alternating with conical finials, the left side monogrammed A S, the right side dated 1736.  Some restoration to the finials, rockers and one mask.

Condition

A 2-in. portion of each rocker has been broken and restored back. The applied mask at the foot is restored, covering a long haircrack running from the upper edge, down throught he mask and curving towards the lower left corner. The two finials on the far side have been chipped off and restored and there is a tiny chip to the nose of the mask on that side. One finial on the near side has been chipped off and restored. Both finials on the foot are similarly restored.
