Two hand-colored lithographs with touches of gum arabic, after designs by Arthur F. Tait, 1863, on heavy wove paper, the first with 1/3 inch margins on three sides, the second with wide margins, in good condition apart from light- and mat stain, framed (2 prints)

Condition

American Frontier Life: The print is in good condition as catalogued. The margins have been trimmed to just outside the image at left, right and top and just below the address line at bottom. Pale mat stain is visible in the margins and darkest on the verso where there is also considerable surface soiling Sheet 512 by 698 mm American Hunting Scenes: In good condition as catalogued. Mottled light-stain is visible in a window around the image and has darkened the paper tone. The sheet edges are discolored by time stain and slight surface soiling which is also visible on the verso. sheet 540 by 764 mm Margins 1 3/4 at top, 1 inch at right, 1 1/4 at left
