Condition
American Field Sports: The print is in good condition as catalogued. Pale light-stain has darkened the paper tone overall and is visible in a window around the image. Two visibly repaired tears can be seen in the margins at right and bottom, with shorter unrepaired tears and small losses along the upper sheet edge. There is surface soiling and time stain in the margins and on the verso. sheet 560 by 753 mm margins c. 1 3/4 at left, right and top
Taking the Track Back: Generally in good condition as catalogued. There is a c. 2 inch flattened crease in the image at upper left which has been stabilized with Japan on the verso. There is mottled discoloration on the verso showing through to the recto throughout, strongest at upper right and lower left. There are two short tears at the right sheet edge and shallow losses at the sheet corners. A 13 inch piece of brown paper tape runs along the upper sheet edge recto. Light-stain appears in a window around the image and the outer margins are also discolored with pale mat stain and surface soiling. DIscoloration on the verso consists of very strong and mottled mat stain, surface soiling and remains of adhesive at the lower sheet corners which has darkened the paper particularly in the lower right sheet corner verso and recto. Sheet 603 by 805 mm margins are c. 2 3/4-3 inches
