Two lithographs with hand-coloring and touches of gum arabic, after designs by Arthur F. Tait and Louis Maurer respectively, 1855-57, the first published by Currier and Ives, the second by N. Currier, on heavy wove papers, with wide margins, in good condition apart from a few losses and nicks at the sheet edges, pale light- and mat stain, the second with a few minor scuffs in the image at upper right, framed (2 prints)

Condition

American Field Sports: In good condition as catalogued. There are two losses at the upper left and upper right sheet corners (the larger at left measuring 1 1/4 inch), with smaller nicks along the sheet edges. Light stain is visible in a window around the image, darkest at the mat opening, with paler mat stain in the outer margin and on the verso. 575 by 787 mm margins 2 1/4 inches all around American Winter Sports: In good condition as catalogued. There are a few tiny scuffs in the image at upper right and continuing into the margin above. Light-stain has darkened the paper tone in a window around the image. The sheet edges are discolored by time stain and slight surface soiling, with a short tear at left and a few shallow nicks throughout. The verso is discolored by mat stain and surface soiling. sheet 552 by 710 margins 1 1/4 left and right and 1 3/4 at bottom
