- width of bowl 10 1/4 in.
- 26 cm
the interior of the bowl painted with a floral spray surrounded by underglaze-blue diaper and spearhead borders, the exterior painted with floral sprays alternating with the Dundas crest and motto ESSAYEZl; the six plates each painted with a crest and monogrammed JLC on an ermine drapery mantle with rose and gilt ribbons within gilt-starred blue enamel borders. Some very minor chips and wear to enamels.
Condition
One plate has a ½-inch haircrack running from the rim into the cavetto. Another plate has an 1/8-inch chip on the edge of the rim and two tiny chip on the underside edge of the rim. There is some very minor fritting on the edge of the rim at the corners of the square bowl. There is some minor wear to the gilding overall and to some of the painted enamels on the centers of the plates and on the bowl. Otherwise the pieces are in generally good condition.
