Description

  • diameter: 4.2cm, 1 5/8 in.
compressed circular, pearl-finished, the hinged lid with applied cypher in blue and white enamel of King Christian IX between the engraved dates 1818 and 1898, containing a small 19th century Japanese carved ivory Ojime in the form of a monkey holding a fruit, height: 2.4cm, 1in., and a note in Danish signed 'Alix'

Condition

Very shallow dents to base and at interior of the lid. There is a shallow enamel loss which is barely perceptible.
