Description

  • height: 6cm., 2 1/3 in.
oval, enamelled over a wavy engine-turned ground, with gold and seed pearl borders enclosing a hand-coloured photograph of Duchess Thyra of Cumberland, ivory back and gold strut, marked Fabergé with workmaster's initials and scratched inventory number 55205, 56 standard

Condition

An ivory backing panel is attached to the frame with four screws; two screw holes have cracks in their vicinity. The gold wire strut is attached by the hinge plate to the ivory backing. Screw heads are damaged.
