Description

  • 124cm. high, 165cm. wide, 49cm. deep; 4ft.¾ in., 5ft.5in., 1ft.7¼in.
with a rectangular moulded top above a dentil moulding and two frieze drawers carved with guilloche enclosing flowerheads interposed by leaf-cast corbels concealing three short drawers, above a pair of doors carved with piastres centred by a scrolled boss with an unidentifiable coat-of-arms above a gadrooned frieze, on scrolled front feet and bracket rear feet

Condition

Old very minor marks, chips and scratches commensurate with age. Some old water stains to the top. Evidence of old worm which appears no longer active. Drawers relined. Gilt-brass handles later. There is a vertical crack in the base of the right drawer as visible from photograph, which can easily be filled. Rear bracket feet later. In overall good conserved condition. Very nice detail to carving and very well proportioned.
