Description

  • 50.5cm. high, 25cm. wide; 1ft. 8in., 10in.
carved with blind tracery, possibly from a coffer of throne chair

Condition

Good considering age with attractive colour and patina. Typical old partial losses to carved details and traces of old worm. The peripheral framing is later. Both panels with partial splits and the reverse of the panels with trenching from a former till when these panels formed part of a larger item of furniture, probably a panelled chest.
