Description

  • 25.5cm. high, 33cm. wide; 10in., 1ft. 1in. and frieze 11cm. high, 42cm. wide; 4½in., 1ft. 4½in.
with foliate, quatreform and ogee shaped decoration, together with a fragment of pierced oak frieze, traces of original polychrome decoration with five comma motifs centred by flower heads, 15th century (2)

Condition

Larger section with some slight old losses and partial loss of polish. Attractivley carved. The left side with aperture in rim. The top rim with partial fragmenting. Minor traces of old worm. The reverse with slight fragmenting and old small repairs to the reverse of the flower heads with filler. The other smaller frieze section with worn polychrome. Traces of old worm and slight partial residual fragmenting. Old split in lower rail. The corners and end with old fragmenting and the reverse with minor partially fragmented surface
