Description

  • 132cm. high, 71cm. wide; 4ft 4in., 2ft 4in.
with ogee arched and moulded back and with outswept scroll arms, the square and vase shaped turned legs with ornate pierced scroll front stretcher and turned H-shaped stretchers, on trefoil scroll feet

Provenance

With the vendors family since the start of the 20th century.

Condition

Good colour and patina throughout. Traces of worm throughout. The now delicate back with old repair to lower ogee shaped back rail. The cane is brittle. Small old repairs to arms. Underside of front seat rail with later strenghthening baton. Old repair on front corner of left support adjacent to seat rail. Feet scuffed. Cushion poor and with wear. This armchair is elegant and in original condition.
