- 97cm. high, 159cm. wide, 60cm. deep; 3ft.1¾in., 5ft.2in., 1ft.11in.
the rectangular faux sienna marble moulded top with rounded corners above two frieze drawers and a pair of cupboard doors enclosing a shelf, the whole decorated with panels of strapwork and scrolling acanthus and trails of husks, with similarly decorated sides on bracket feet
Condition
Colour overall less greenish and much more attractive than in the catalogue photograph. Old minor chips and scratches and losses to decoration as visible from photograph. There is a horizontal construction crack across the top which has been filled with gesso in the past and which is opening up again, but which can easily be filled. Some water stains, pitting and gouges to top as visible from photograph. Construction cracks generally and shrinkage due to age which are quite normal. There is one on the left side which shows evidence of previous restoration. There has been some shrinkage to the curved corner panels especially the one on the right side, leaving a gap which can be left or filled. Attractive detail to painting, in overalll good original condition.
